The script had some delightfully witty turns regarding politics and relationships. The leads were stunning and professionals. Robert Morley and George Cole were successful scene stealers. The fight in the bell tower was amazing. I will always think of it fondly.Caftan Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05936895555808823221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6189896360230007229.post-56056731394777477642013-12-02T12:54:33.904-08:002013-12-02T12:54:33.904-08:00CW, indeed it is perfect entertainment for a long ...CW, indeed it is perfect entertainment for a long winter night. I may have to agree and disagree with you on Taylor. I liked him in "Quentin Durward" more than in "Ivanhoe", though I think "Ivanhoe" is the better movie. But "Quentin Durward" is terrific entertainment, and deserves to be better known. "Knights of the Round Table" is kind of clunky, despite the gorgeous Ava and a terrific Rozsa score. The climatic sword fight is one of the most imaginative ever filmed. Taylor is better here--and a better role--than in IVANHOE (which I also like). Glas TCM sows QD fairly often. .Rick29https://www.blogger.com/profile/08358116647815569722noreply@blogger.com
